Finance
The Finance category covers the path a document takes from entering the company to appearing in the financial statements. Accounting, Expenses, collections, Spreadsheet, electronic signature and document management run in the same database; data is entered once.
Six apps form a single flow: a document comes in, becomes a journal entry, is collected, reported and archived.
- 01
The document comes in
A vendor bill reaches the system through an email alias, a scanner or the Documents app. Odoo digitizes the document and opens a draft bill.
- 02
It becomes an entry
A confirmed invoice or expense report produces a journal entry. The chart of accounts and the KDV (Turkish VAT) codes come already filled in on the entry.
- 03
Collection and payment
The customer pays the invoice from the link in the portal, or makes a wire transfer. When the bank statement arrives, Odoo suggests the entry to match it with.
- 04
Reporting and archive
The Balance Sheet, Trial Balance and aged reports are produced from the same entries. Signed contracts and their attachments stay in the document folders.

Why ASON
Chart of accounts setup
We put into service Türkiye's uniform chart of accounts (7/A) and the KDV (Turkish VAT) codes that come with the Türkiye localization package. We map the account structure of your current program onto the Odoo accounts, and try to keep the layout your certified public accountant is used to.
Data migration
We transfer partner accounts, open invoices, stock and bank balances from your old system. We set up the opening entry and, after the transfer, compare the balances with the old system line by line.
E-document connection
We set up the Türkiye localization ourselves. e-Fatura, e-Arşiv and e-İrsaliye are sent straight from Odoo, and the document status comes back onto the invoice itself — you never switch to another screen. Before go-live we run the scenarios with you in a test environment. Your integrator account and your financial seal stay with you.
Team training
ASON Teknoloji Sanayi ve Ticaret Limited Şirketi is an Odoo Learning Partner, and we train your accounting team on your own data. For the first period we run invoicing, bank reconciliation and the month-end closing steps together with you.
Frequently asked questions
Can you migrate the data from our current accounting program?
Yes, data migration is one of the services we provide. What usually moves is partner accounts, products, open customer invoices and vendor bills, stock balances and the opening trial balance. Carrying over the full entry detail of past years is not necessary in most projects; the old system is kept as an archive. We decide together which data will be migrated, by looking at the file formats the source system can produce.
Will our chart of accounts change?
We put into service Türkiye's uniform chart of accounts (7/A) and the KDV (Turkish VAT) codes that come with the localization package. We map the account structure of your current program onto the Odoo accounts; the aim is to keep the layout your certified public accountant is used to. We go through which account corresponds to which one together before the setup.
Can we issue e-invoices with Odoo?
The Türkiye localization comes with the setup; we handle the connection and the configuration. The invoice is issued in Odoo, sent to your integrator, and the approval or error state shows up on the invoice itself. We test the e-Fatura, e-Arşiv and e-İrsaliye scenarios with you during the setup.
Does the e-Defter file come out of Odoo too?
Odoo produces the e-Defter (electronic ledger) file, and ASON sets up the Türkiye localization. Creating the berat and uploading it to GİB happen outside Odoo; we plan those steps together with your accountant. We try the flow out in a test database during the setup.
Whose name will the Nilvera account and the financial seal be in?
The account, the contract and the financial seal on the integrator's side are in your name; those are between you and the integrator. We set up the Odoo side, make the connection and test the scenarios. You discuss the commercial terms of the service directly with the integrator.
Our certified public accountant does not use Odoo. What happens then?
Your certified public accountant does not have to learn Odoo. We can open a limited user for them with access only to reports and ledgers; they can also take the Trial Balance, General Ledger and journal listings as files. At many companies the accountant carries on working in their own program and is fed with export files. We discuss which method will work with your accountant before the setup.
Is the Community edition enough for us, or is Enterprise required?
That depends on which features you will use. For bank synchronization, for example, the Odoo documentation states plainly that a valid Enterprise subscription is required. Documents, Sign and Spreadsheet are Enterprise apps as well. Before the setup we draw up your list of requirements and give you in writing which item is covered by which edition, based on Odoo's own edition comparison.
How long does the setup take, and what is asked of us?
The duration depends on the number of modules and the size of the data migration; we can only give you a realistic schedule after we have seen your current system. What we ask of you is clear: an up-to-date chart of accounts, the open balance lists, one authorized accounting staff member, and time set aside for the test period. We go live once you have approved working in the test database.
Who will train our team?
We give the training; ASON Teknoloji Sanayi ve Ticaret Limited Şirketi is an Odoo Learning Partner and we work your accounting team through your own data. For the first period we run the invoicing, bank reconciliation and month-end closing steps together with you. Your team gets used to the system with its own records, not with sample data.
How are Türkiye-specific integrations (virtual POS, shipping, e-documents) handled?
Connections specific to Türkiye that are not in Odoo's built-in list are set up with third-party modules; modules compatible with Odoo 17, 18 and 19 are published for virtual POS, shipping and e-document needs. Which bank or provider will be used is decided within the project. These modules are not covered by Odoo S.A. support, so before the choice we evaluate the publisher's maintenance continuity together.
