A milk tanker and churns on a misty rural road, the driver entering a record on his phone

Ason Farm

From milk collection to herd health — the whole farm ledger in one place.

Ason Farm brings the daily work of milk traders, cooperatives and unions into a single system. The driver records at the stop from his phone and the office sees the same record at the same moment — there is no second ledger.

One entry in the field, one table in the office

The driver enters the litres at the stop, prints an 80 mm receipt and moves on. The office's fifteen-day grid fills at the same moment. Both surfaces write the same record; correcting one corrects the other. Where there is no signal, entries queue on the phone and are sent when the line returns.

A wrong entry is corrected, never erased

When a record changes, the old value does not disappear: who changed what, and when, stays visible. A discarded collection is voided, not overwritten. Once a period is closed, nothing can be added to it. Future-dated entries are refused. An unusual volume raises a warning.

Pricing calculates itself

The milk price is not typed in by hand: the source price (board rate, buying dairy, or a fixed tariff), the cooling premium and the fat/protein matrix work together. Every price has an effective date and old values are never deleted — a past day is settled at that day's tariff. Arithmetic runs on integers, so rounding never accumulates.

A clear account with the producer

When a period closes, the producer's total, deductions and net payment appear on one screen. The receipt is issued, the payment is recorded, and the running balance updates itself. The balance is never stored — it is computed from the ledger every time, so two figures cannot disagree.

Herd, feed and the other ledgers

Animal records, the vaccination and examination calendar, poultry and meat, wholesale and feed sales all live in the same system. Each module keeps its own ledger, but there is one current account: feed sold to a producer meets the milk owed on the same statement.

A real ledger, not a screen that looks like one

Documents take atomic numbers and none is ever deleted — it is voided and reversed. The ledger is append-only. That is what makes it possible to explain, at month end, why the figures agree.

Works offline

No signal in the village: the entry waits on the phone and posts when the line returns.

Tamper-evident

Every record is sealed with a chained digest; nothing can be quietly altered later.

One account

Milk, feed and wholesale meet on the same statement; the producer sees one ledger.

  • Organisation: trader · cooperative · union
  • Field: phone browser, nothing to install; 80 mm thermal receipt
  • Office: fifteen-day grid, period closing, account statements
  • Pricing: source price + cooling premium + fat/protein matrix, effective-dated
  • Integrity: version conflict gate, duplicate shield, chained audit trail
  • Documents: atomic numbering, void + reversal, append-only ledger
  • Offline: browser queue, automatic send on reconnect

Frequently asked questions

Does the driver need to install an app?

No. It runs in the phone's browser. There is nothing to install, update or download from a store.

What happens when there is no internet in the village?

The entry queues on the phone and is sent automatically when the connection returns. If the same entry is sent twice, the system discards the duplicate.

Who can correct a wrong volume?

Any user with the permission. The old value is not lost; who changed it and when stays on the record. Once a period is closed, it cannot be touched.

If a price changes, do past records change too?

No. Every tariff has an effective date. A past day is always settled at that day's tariff.
